- ELI JAMES is an actor, writer, musician and standup comic in New York City. His solo show "William and the Tradesmen" has been performed at numerous venues around the city, including Ars Nova, La Mama, and The Drilling Company Theater.
His Broadway credits include the National Theatre of Great Britain's "One Man, Two Guvnors," directed by Nicholas Hytner, as well as Alex Timbers's and Michael Friedman's rock musical "Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson."
Other stage credits include Itamar Moses's "The Four of Us" at Manhattan Theatre Club, "Rutherford and Son" at The Mint Theater, "Becky Shaw" at Boston’s Huntington Theater, the world premiere of Jason Grote’s "Maria/Stuart" at the Woolly Mammoth Theatre, and the East Coast premiere of Tom Stoppard’s "The Invention of Love" at The Wilma Theater.
You may have caught him on TV's "Gossip Girl," "Lights Out" and "Mercy" - or performing standup all over the city.
His essay “Finding the Beat” was published in the Random House anthology Twentysomething Essays by Twentysomething Writers, a Boston Globe bestseller, and his articles have been featured in Time Out New York.
